The room was spacious with a large balcony, perfect for enjoying the view. the location was excellent, right in the heart of town and within walking distance of everything. the meals at the potato restaurant were amazing, with generous portions and reasonable prices. the on-site parking was a great convenience.

Convenient for the Hartz Railway and Mountains; very well located in the town; extremely clean and very comfortable; excellent restaurant; pleasant staff. We enjoyed the visit.

The location is excellent. Room size is great, breakfast is good and staff is friendly. A great location to tour the castle, mountains and to stroll the streets of the town. The dinner restaurant, Altwernigeröder Kartoffelhaus is very good.

The only issue we had was noise, there was a party in the room off of the lobby, which was under our room and we could hear the music and dj talking until 2:30 in the morning! We did discuss with the hotel and they discounted our fee that night.

This hotel is a great value for money. The prices are affordable and the attention to detail is commendable. I particularly liked the rooms with a kitchenette, which made it convenient for me to cook my own meals. The hotel is also located just down the road from the town center, making it easy for me to explore the city and visit the famous Potato restaurant after a tiring day in the Harz Mountains.

We booked a room for 3 adults; yet our 17 year old son had to sleep on a very lumpy pull-out sofa bed.

Great location, room very comfortable. However, make sure you request a room the "newer" section of the hotel. Rooms in the "older" section are bigger with a small kitchen, but they smell like smoke. If you do not mind the smell of smoke, then you will be fine. The rooms in the newer section of smaller, but more updated and do not smell like smoke. After the girl switched our room to the newer section, we were very happy with the hotel, and the breakfast was very good too.

This hotel is great value for money, with affordable prices and attention to detail. The location is superb, right in the center of the city of Wernigerode, making it very close to everything interesting that the cobbled streets have to offer. The service provided by the staff is exceptional, and they are always ready to cater to your needs. The rooms are comfortable and come with a kitchen or a kitchenette, which is a fantastic convenience. Plus, having breakfast included adds a nice touch to the overall experience.

Nothing to fault.

The breakfast was nice and varied, and the staff were generally friendly. The location was convenient for my work meetings and there were plenty of local restaurants nearby. The room was also reasonably quiet for a good night's sleep.

There was some confusion with the parking arrangement, and I had to park in a nearby lot which added an unexpected expense to my trip. The language barrier was also an issue, as some of the staff spoke little English.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. They helped me surprise my parents for my mom's birthday, arranging a flower bouquet in their room without giving away the surprise. The hotel's location was perfect, with a great view and close proximity to the narrow gauge steam railway. The room was comfortable and the breakfast selection was excellent. Despite a few minor inconveniences, overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The bathroom in our room had a sloping ceiling, and it was difficult for taller people to shower comfortably. the restaurant in the hotel didn't meet our expectations, and we had to eat out most of the time.
